Registering for AIDS Walk

One person can make a difference, I know this. We can do it from individual to another and and individual can even effect a group. What one person can do is amazing. Can you imaging what it is like when many join together to make an impact?

So every year I decide to do some type of walk, either related to my personal family and life or place of work. Last year Mom and I did the walk for Lupus.
This was personal, her Lupus is in remission. Luckily for me Lupus does not attack female's in the womb so I survived. Obviously it has a huge impact on our lives.

This year, with my new job I decided to join in the AIDS WALK. I have done it before and love participating in it, there are tons of lovely art exhibits and Golden Gate Park is just stunning. I obviously just registered for it but maybe together we can make a difference. Join the walk or support a walker... ME! (WINK) I am seeking my first donor:

All About San Francisco

Life has been crazy. With a new job and the term ending it has been chaotic. I have barely had any time to breath trying to finish up papers and everything. So you add this with the lovely sunny days we have been having in San Francisco. I mean WOW, SF is breathless in general but nothing like when the sun is out and wind is down.

In case you don’t know San Francisco has its own flavor and weird things that well are Only San Francisco. I know this because on my way home from work and errands I have an interesting encounter. Nothing bad so please don’t be alarmed. Yet while waiting for the light to turn a man commented on the song I was humming. Yes I sing, whistle, dance and ok so I am one of the Only San Francisco things.

We chatted a bit and he said, “Don’t mean to assume or offend but, do you carry protection?”

I know your thinking uh oh she ran into a weirdo. I say, “What do you mean?”

He said, “To help keep you safe in the land of SF at night, you know like mace or something… cause if not. I would like to give you one.”

Wait what? Hmm… Well, “OK.” So he gives me mace which is quite small and black fits easily in my purse or even a clip on. Light changes and I go off walking on my merry way. Only San Francisco.

Ode to Mom - TNX!

I love my Mom! She is always thinking about me and so sweet. I don't really get a lot of gifts when the holidays come by... I get them all through out the year! Often times it is things that I need or will be running out of soon.
Like when the Clinique has there gift bonus, she knows I probably am running low on my toner and gets it for me. How sweet it this?! Not only did I get something I use and need (she was right I was 1/2 through it!) I got the gift. Now this alone is so nice and going way over the top on its own. Naturally my mother being the sweet Goddess she is does not stop there.
She always wants me to keep in style, with the mode. So she gets me fun things that she knows I would not be able to afford. After all a girl on a budget has to keep to the necessities and cannot spend for fun. So when she sees something that is, well she gets it. I of course love it!
Even better is that my Mom's taste rocks, and is always on the money. I mean always. I am wrong she is right its just that simple. If I don't love it, I will cause everyone will compliment it. Just how life is. So thank you Mom, for being you and spoiling me like you do.
