Driving a Manual....

After a few months.. I have to say I am kind of used to driving a manual. I bet now, if I had to drive automatic it would be a bit weird! I am not perfect, that will take time but I do have it down.

Dinning in the Dark

I know I have disappeared and I am sorry, I did not mean to but life just swept me up. Long story short, here I am back to crossing things off my list. This time my hunny took me on a dinning adventure, we dined in the dark.

When you go down stairs you have to decide everything before entering the 'maze', which is pitch black. Our server, Mocha, was fantastic, she was funny, sweet, attentive, a good energy and great voice. Which helps since that is all you have in the dark. If you are wondering how she manages, in SF at least they are smart enough not to use night vision... but real people who are used to it.

The food itself was good, a simple menu but is a variety of options, not what you'd expect for the price.. but the price is more for the experience. The experience is extremely interesting. You can choose to have surprise meals, in which you just know if it was seafood, meat, or vegetarian.

I went for the surprise appetizer, which was fun to try and figure out what it was and did it again for my drink. It was a bit nerve racking to not know what you were about to eat at all. Your brain is in overdrive already because you cannot see and trying do things right. Trying to guess your food too... hard! I got a few of the ingredients right, did better on the drink. Not that I drink a lot, but Raspberry Stoli has a specific taste.

Eating is what I found to be most difficult. I could not get the food on my fork! Not to mention try cutting it correctly or in the right size. It was ridiculous! That was a good part of the fun though. All in all, a truly interesting experience.
